Château d'Aiguilhe is a wine that I like and I have it in many vintages. The 2006 that I bought lately is round and ready to drink. It's a good wine. I had also the same experience with the 2004 which also was a pleasure to drinkNotation
However and this is my personal opinion, I tasted lately the 2009 and I prefer Château d'Aighuilhe young as it is richer and got more structure to it than an older vintage, so for me the 2009 is to enjoy now (2012-2015).

Intensives Rubinrot mit Purpurreflex. Eine nach Rumtopf riechende Nase, also man vermutet schon relativ viel Alkohol. Neben diesen Komponenten treten aber auch fruchtige Noten wie Himbeer und Pflaume auf. Irgendwann kommen auch elegante Noten von Mandarinen... bzw von der Haut, wenn man die schält. Laktischer Charakter mit Caramel, MOkka. Im Gaumen hat der Wein einen süssen Auftakt. Danach setzt sich aber elegtant die Frucht durch und schlussendlich übernehmen die Gerbstoffe. Sie sind noch ziemlich wild und die Säure mischt auch gleich mit. Da muss sich natürlich noch einiges beruhigen, aber man hat eine gute Vorstellung vor sich. Die Tannine sind etwas sandig. Trinken 2014 mit Potential bis 2024-2029. 90-92/100Notation
Rouge rubis intense avec des reflets pourpres. Le premier élément qui apparait au nez est le "Rumtopf" soit une note d'alcool bien marquée. Bien évidemment d'autres éléments, très agréables, apparaissent également, en particulier le fruit avec des arômes de framboise, de prune et même de zestes de mandarine. En bouche l'attaque est souple et est suivie d'un fruit très élégant puis finalement les tannins, légèrement sableux, prennent les opérations en main. Ils sont encore particulièrement "sauvages" mais l'acidité vient équilibrer le tout.
